Preparing for Your CT Scan
Preparation depends on the type of CT exam being performed.
You may be instructed to:
Avoid eating for several hours before your exam.
Drink water or oral contrast if instructed.
Wear comfortable clothing.
Remove metal objects before imaging.
Inform us if you are pregnant or have allergies to contrast material.
Bring your photo ID, insurance card, and physician's order.
Our staff will provide personalized preparation instructions before your appointment.
Check In
Arrive approximately 15–20 minutes before your appointment to complete registration.
Before Your Exam
Some CT scans require special preparation, such as fasting or drinking oral contrast. If needed, our scheduling team will provide detailed instructions before your appointment.
Your CT Scan
You will lie comfortably on the CT table while the scanner captures detailed images. Most exams are completed in 10–30 minutes, and remaining still helps produce the highest-quality images.

Your images are reviewed by a board-certified radiologist, and a detailed report is promptly sent to your referring healthcare provider.
