Ultrasound Imaging
Ultrasound is a non-invasive imaging exam that uses sound wavesβnot radiationβto produce detailed images of organs, blood vessels, muscles, tendons, and developing babies during pregnancy. At EBI Radiology, our experienced sonographers and advanced ultrasound technology provide accurate imaging in a comfortable outpatient setting.
Safe. Comfortable. Real-Time Diagnostic Imaging.
What Is an Ultrasound?
Fast, Safe & Radiation-Free Imaging
Ultrasound (also called sonography) uses high-frequency sound waves to create real-time images of structures inside the body. Because it does not use radiation, ultrasound is one of the safest imaging exams available and is commonly used for evaluating the abdomen, pelvis, thyroid, blood flow, soft tissues, and pregnancy.
Your physician may recommend an ultrasound to help diagnose pain, swelling, infection, vascular conditions, or to monitor certain medical conditions.
